10 Months Old

Today is Hudson's 10 month birthday. It's so hard for me to believe that he'll be one in just two short months. It seems like just yesterday I had my ultrasound and found out we were having a boy. Hudson has brought us so much joy over the past 10 months...I look forward to what the future holds and am thankful for the wonder of the past 10 months. It sure is amazing how much they change during this first year!

All of the window sills in our house are just the right size for him. He likes standing at the window and seeing what's going on outside.

Christmas

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas this year with both of our families. It was fun watching Hudson experience his first Christmas, although he never really did get the present opening figured out.

This is my favorite picture from Christmas.

Hudson got his first teddy bear from his Grandma Boorman and then spent some quality time with him in the box he came in.

Apparently he wasn't too excited about Christmas dinner....maybe it's because he didn't get all the ham and potatoes.

This seemed to be the usual expression when he was opening presents - not overly interested or excited - just curious.

He got a little people nativity set from Aunt Janeil and Uncle Shawn - he liked the boxes!

Grandma and Grandpa Koethke got him this rocking horse that makes noises and moves its head and tail - Hudson likes watching it but wasn't too sure about riding it yet.

9 Months Old

Since Hudson turned 9 months old we had to do another of our quarterly photo sessions....is it possible that he's getting even cuter? :)

This one I had to throw in just because his expression was so funny.

A Day in the Life

Look who's getting so big! These pictures should give you a glimpse into normal life with Hudson these days...

Hudson has learned how to pull himself up in his crib so most of the time when I go in to get him from a nap, he greets me like this - with a big grin.

Hudson has this little tunnel that he absolutely loves! He enjoys crawling through it and just sitting under it.

Hudson discovered one of his Christmas presents yesterday - He had a good time shaking it up and ripping the tag off.

Hudson is very intrigued by the vacuum cleaner.

He'll be mommy's little helper in no time.

So Hudson is fully mobile now. He still isn't officially crawling, but he can get around pretty quick doing his little army crawl. He is also able to get into a sitting up position from being down on his tummy. This new found freedom seems to have made Hudson much happier. For me it means I have to pay a lot more attention to what he's doing!



It seems that I take less pictures of Hudson than I did when he was really little so that's why there is more time between posts these days. Here are some pictures from His first Thanksgiving...

Here's a little video of Hudson on the move for those of you who don't get the priviledge of seeing it in person....I think it looks like he's swimming.

Almost to the 8 month mark...

Hudson will be 8 months old on Wednesday! Time sure flies. This last week he added the top two teeth to his collection of chompers. He's also started doing the army crawl. He's able to get up on his knees and rock a bit so it wont be long until he is doing the full-blown crawl...watch out world!

I started back to work a couple weeks ago on Mondays and Tuesdays and Hudson is staying with my good friend Tyffany. He has done really well. I was so happy to hear that from Tyffany that first day as it seems like lately he has been a bit of a mamma's boy. I'm sure it helped that he had other kids around to entertain him. Anyway...life goes on and Hudson just keeps growing and getting cuter and cuter! :)

Canned Mandarin oranges are one of Hudson's favorite things to eat. The other day Christian was eating a fresh one and Hudson thought he wanted some of it...so Christian gave him some...apparently it wasn't quite as sweet as Hudson likes his oranges.
