Chocolate Chip Cookies

I had been craving some chocolate chip cookies so I decided to whip some up yesterday. I realized that Hudson is nearly two years old and has never had a chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven (we'll blame that on weight watchers). Unfortunately , I made the world's ugliest chocolate chip cookies....they look more like pancakes. Fortunately, Hudson doesn't care. I told Christian to remind me next time I want to make cookies just to buy slice and bakes. ;)

Let's get this action started!

"How does this thing work?"

" Mmm...this is good stuff!"

Nice Hudson..even on your nose.

"I think I can get some more off this thing...."

Warm chocolate chip cookie!

"More, please"

Regular stuff...

Yesterday morning I slept in until Hudson got up so when I went to take a shower I put Hudson in my bed and let him watch a movie. He looked so comfy and cozy...I don't think he moved at all while I was showering. It helps that it was a Thomas the Train movie....he is mesmerized by those things (no matter how many times he's seen them!)

Hudson and his Daddy...as if they didn't look enough alike before...

One of the few times Hudson has ever kept a hat on for longer than 30 seconds....pretty cute.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was spent with Christian's family in Moses Lake....where Hudson received more Thomas stuff! Christian and I decided that next year with two kids we might need a trailer to get home after Christmas. We are spoiled, there's no doubt about it. :)

This picture is a little fuzzy but too cute to resist. Hudson got this mini Ikea chair from my parents for Christmas.

Hudson got these musical dolphins from Christian's aunt and uncle...he couldn't wait to get in the tub and try them out.

"Okay, so I opened this up....now can I play with it?"

Wohoo...more trains!

The Koethke men....and a new book for Hudson.
Some of my other family members got some great photos of Hudson's Christmas joy...I'll be sure and share them with you when they are passed along to me!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning we open our stockings at home before heading to my parents house in George to celebrate with my extended family. This year was extra fun for us as Hudson was really into Christmas!

This isn't the greatest picture but is shows how packed my parents house was on Christmas Eve. It's fun that the family is growing by means of children with my 3 little brothers, Hudson and my cousins 3 kids.

My little brothers and Hudson all got John Deere tractors for Christmas...Hudson was sooo excited when he got his after watching the three other boys open theirs.

Christmas eve at home...Hudson got a Thomas the Train ornament...he loves all things Thomas.

Hmmm...what is this?

Mmm...candy

A Crafty Christmas

At Thanksgiving when I was with my family I noticed my younger sister had the cutest purse ever. She told me that it had been made for her as a bridesmaids gift and then my mom told me that she had the pattern at home...bonanza! So...merry Christmas for some friends and family I whipped up a couple of purses. I must admit I was quite pleased with the results. Now I'm going to make one for myself. :)

A Wee Announcement

For those of you who don't already know....our family of three is going to become a family of four. We found out the beginning of December that we are expecting baby #2. My tentative due date at this point is August 16th. My mother kindly pointed out that I'm going to be pregnant "all summer!". But, I think it'll be worth it. ;)

Piano and Snow

Hudson still enjoys "playing" the piano. If I'm playing he generally comes to help me out with some extra melodies. :)

Hudson's first venture into the snow was pretty short lived. He doesn't seem to be a big fan of the whole business. He occasionally asks me to go outside so we put on his boots, gloves, hat and coat and brave the cold outdoors. That usually lasts all of about 10 minutes before he wants to come back inside. If you watch the video below you can hear his diagnosis....snow is yucky (I agree Hudson!).
