Shoes for Baby

I have been on a serious sewing kick the last 9 months or so. This is the latest project...shoes for Baby Livia. They were super easy and took only scraps of fabric....this girl is going to have lots of shoes! How fun is that!?!?

Belly Photo

After 6 months of "You don't even look pregnant" I'm now getting the comment that I'm "obviously pregnant". So for all of you not close enough to enjoy the view here's a belly photo for you at about 31 weeks.

To The Beach!

We've now been home from vacation for a week so I guess it's time to post some photos. On Sunday the 30th we drove down to Salem to spend some time with my sister Christie and her husband. From there we went to the Portland Zoo Monday morning and then headed to Long Beach. We spent Monday evening through Friday morning in Long Beach and enjoyed hanging out & relaxing as a family, catching up on some sleep (thankfully Hudson cooperated with that one), eating and marveling at God's creation.

On the way down we stopped at Multnomah Falls. It was all well and good until Hudson fell down and majorly skinned both knees - bummer of a way to start the vacation.

Hudson checking out some kind of big fish at the Portland Zoo.

Seeing the baby elephant was one of the best parts of the zoo, well that and the sea lions. I was a little disappointed with the rest of the zoo as there were several exhibits under construction and a lot of other animals that we couldn't see.

Petting the goats - that didn't last very long...

Hudson's first real beach experience...he thought the sticks were pretty cool...

until he got to the water.

He was a little apprehensive at first but by the time we left he was in up to his

waist and wanting to go further out.

I think he figured if he stood behind Christian or I like this then he was

less likely to be pulled out to sea.

My favorite guys in the whole world :)

I don't think anything beats a sunset over the ocean

One of the days we were there we ventured up to the tiny, old town of Oysterville and discovered this pretty little church.

Inside the church

Outside (obviously!)

Ahhh, the beach

The limitless sandbox....what more could a little boy want

Some random statue in Long Beach....I just thought
the expression with the gun was hysterical

We found this HUGE playground in Astoria.
I think Hudson would have spent hours there if we had let him.

Parts of the playground were modeled after the city of Astoria...it was pretty neat.

Mommy and her little boy...he's getting so big!
