Birthday Party!

We had a great time celebrating Hudson's first birthday with friends and family. Hudson was a bit overwhelmed by everything and it turned him into quite a mama's boy for the evening. But, he did a great job making the appropriate mess with his cupcake and seemed to kinda know what was going on with the presents. (Most of these photos are courtesy of Uncle Shawn).

This is one of Hudson's new favorite things - I wonder why we spend money on toys sometimes...a cup and a ball is good for hours of entertainment!

The Great Scowl

So Hudson has this great scowl that he likes to use on us....most of the time he can't hold it for more than a couple seconds before he bust into a huge grin. Those of you who have seen it know exactly what I mean. This photo isn't very good but you get the general idea. I've been trying to get him to do it for the camera but he has refused so far. Let me tell you, it makes it really hard to keep a straight face when we're trying to discipline and he makes this face!

Yeah for spring!

It is so nice to finally have some warm, sunshiny weather! Hudson loves to be outside. The first time we took him outside this spring he wouldn't venture off the blanket because he didn't seem to like how the grass felt. He is now completely over that and is totally enthralled with anything and everything outside. Just imagine all the fun things to eat out there....yikes. ;)
