6 Months and Counting....

So here's Hudson already 6 months old. We had his 6 month dr. appointment on Tuesday and he weighed in at 17lbs 6 oz. He got four shots but really handled it pretty well. Everything else was good - one healthy, happy baby here! The past month marked the arrival of his first two teeth and the ability to sit up all by himself. He's becoming more and more interactive and is usually all smiles.

Lunch anyone?

I thought this was pretty cute - his bib had turned around so it looked like a cape. Super Hudson to the rescue!

Grandpa and Grandma Koethke got him these bath turtles for his half birthday and he really seems to like them. It was a set of four and he tries to hold all of them at the same time.

They also spend a lot of time in his mouth...

First Football Game and Some Random Photos...

Last Saturday we took Hudson to his first football game when WSU played San Diego State at Qwest Field in Seattle. WSU managed to win the game quite handily and Hudson did a great job hanging out at the game. The crowds bothered him a bit at first but he got used to it and even managed to get a nap in during the game (that's the Koethke in him - I swear those guys can sleep just about anywhere!).

I was doing laundry the other day and couldn't carry the laundry basket and Hudson at the same time so I figured the logical solution was to put him in the laundry basket. :)

Since Uncle Shawn likes to call Hudson "The Big H" aunt Janeil decided to make him a little onsie with his nickname on it - how cute! Also, note that he is sitting up all by himself. He's getting better at this but usually doesn't last very long before he topples to one side or the other.

Oregon Coast

We were blessed with the chance to join some of our good friends from church for a weekend vacation to the Oregon coast. One of our friend's boss owns a huge house in Manzanita that was big enough for 8 adults (plus 5 kids) and we were able to use it free of charge. It was a great time to get away and enjoy the beauty of God's creation, the fellowship of good friends and the generosity of fellow believers.

The great house we were able to stay at - it was named "Pax Pater" by the owners, which means peace of the Father.

Ahhh the beach - one of my very favorite destinations!
