Hazel Jane

Hazel Jane joined our family at 10:33AM on Sunday, February 12. She weighed in at 6lbs, 7oz and was 19 inches long. New life is such a miracle!
As a side note...I think she may have blonde hair and blue eyes...how crazy would that be for a Koethke baby?

Our poor girl's face was all bruised purple from delivery. I joked to Christian that maybe we should have named her Violet instead of Hazel.

Such a little thing!

There's nothing like holding your newborn in your arms after carrying her in the womb for nearly 9 months.
All packed into the car seat ready to head home.

Favorite pass time = sleeping

Such a little peanut - even the newborn clothes are too big!

Big brother and sister were very happy to have her home.

Livia's First Big Girl Haircut

On Saturday we took Livia in for her first "real" hair cut. No new style to speak of she just really needed a trim and things evened out. She is such a girly-girl already that she loved the whole thing!

The shampoo

The cut

And the style

Such a cutie!

Her fancy updo for the day

Posing for Daddy

The reward at the end...candy!

Play in the Snow

Here's the proof....I did in fact take the kids out to play in the snow despite the fact that I really would rather stay inside anytime there's snow outside.

Bundled up and ready to go

Hudson had fun sledding down the stairs (that was enough of a hill to keep him happy). He wanted to build a snowman but the snow was just too dry.

Livia just sat and ate the snow - which was all fun and good until she decided to take her gloves off and froze her hands.

A couple days later when it started warming up a bit the snow was actually wet enough to build snowmen. Hudson was very distraught when they started to melt.
