My Family

This was the first time all of the sisters had been together since Christie's wedding in August of 2007 so we took the opportunity to get a family photo. This is no small family....and it's only going to get bigger! I love it and can't imagine it any other way.

My parents with all their kiddos, son-in-laws and two grandsons.

Can't tell we're sisters, can you?

More Birthday Pictures

Thanks to my brother-in-laws Jarred and Shawn I ended up with some great photos from Hudson's birthday party last month. It was such a blessing to spend the afternoon with all of our family. It felt like Christmas (especially for Hudson who got way too many presents!).

Train cake decorating

My sister Christie...her train cars all had a TON of candy on them. ;)

My sister Debbie also helped out with the decorating

Yum...cake with candy on it.

Part of the finished product

Christie was determined to make an animal for the scenery. We never did
really decide what it was....a dinosaur maybe?

I really like this picture of Christian & Hudson

I LOVE this picture of Hudson with my grandpa

I also love this one with my grandma...it looks like it should be in a magazine or something.

My cutie...I can't believe he's already two!

Presents....what fun!

Ohhh....WSU jersey...go Cougs!

I love his hands in this one

Comfy?

Is this how your kids watch TV? Saturday we spent most of the afternoon outside working on a landscaping project which meant that Hudson spent most of the afternoon running around outside. When we came inside in the evening I stripped Hudson down to the diaper since he was all dirty and then put on a Thomas movie for him to watch while I cleaned some stuff up and ordered a pizza for dinner. When I came back into the living room this is how I found him. It doesn't look all that comfortable to me....but he seemed happy enough!

Train Cake

Since Hudson LOVES trains I decided to make him a train cake for his birthday. I borrowed a special cake pan from someone at work and it turned out pretty cute. I must admit that I was totally disappointed at first because my actual cake did not look like the picture (and I used their cake recipe). I tried three different times with the actual baking part and am now convinced that the cake picture on the internet is not actually cake. Anyway...my sisters helped with the decorating and I think it turned out pretty cute. I'm not sure that Hudson was as impressed as he should have been...but it was fun anyway. :)

I'm waiting to get other birthday party pictures from my brother-in-laws with the fancy cameras. After I get them I'll share some more from the party.
