5 Months Old

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe Hudson is already five months old. Time sure flies when you have a baby! I may be biased, but I think he gets cuter every day. He continues to be a pretty easy going little guy. My only complaint is that he still isn't sleeping through the night. He has a couple of times but nothing real regular - oh well, some day he will.

Our cute little 5 month old!

His toes are one of his very favorite things right now. As soon as we lay him down on the changing table he goes straight for the feet. He's been trying to get them into his mouth but hasn't been successful in that venture as of yet.

The scowls even make me smile. :)

The smiles are even better than the scowls though!

Here we are reading a book - it sure doesn't take long to memorize those little kiddo books.

This is one of his new-oh-so-fascinating toys.

One of our friends was kind enough to let us borrow their exersaucer - Hudson just loves all the things to touch and play with.

My Beautiful Sister

On August 5th, Christie married Dustin - the man of her dreams. It was a beautiful day and everything turned out just perfect. Unfortunately, I was so busy running around making sure everything went smoothly that I didn't get a photo of the two of them together.

The beautiful, glowing bride

Our cute little family all dressed up for the occasion.

The night before the wedding we decorated some 150 cupcakes for the reception.

Things can get a little crazy when you have six sisters together frosting over a hundred cupcakes. Here Becca and Debbie decided to do some taste testing.

Phew! That was a lot of work!

Firsts for Hudson

As you all well know, life with a little one includes a lot of firsts - some good some bad. The past few weeks have included Hudson's first hair cut, first attempt at semi-solid food, and unfortunately his first ear infection and ruptured ear drum. A sick Hudson is not a happy Hudson - but it did make me so thankful that he is normally such an easy going, happy little guy. Once he got started on some antibiotics he was back to his normal happy self pretty quickly.

First Hair Cut

The pre-hair cut shot - It was getting pretty long in the front and over his ears.

Grandma Boorman did the honors for this first hair cut

He was pretty happy for the ordeal until we got to the part around his ears and had to hold his head still.

The post hair cut shot - isn't he cute?

First Rice Cereal

After his 4 month check up we got the green light to try some solid foods. Hudson seemed to think it was all great fun.

But, as you can see, most of the rice cereal came back out on this first attempt.

I don't think he was real crazy about the flavor.
