Firsts for Livia

First haircut - really just trimming her bangs - and first oreo...
Grandma Boorman gave Hudson his first haircut so it only seemed appropriate for her to give Livia her first trim as well.

Livia even sat relatively still for the process!

Mmm....Daddy decided it was time for me to have my first oreo!

"That's pretty tasty"

Oh, the oreo mess...

Baby Vesta

Last Wednesday, Hudson & Livia's first Koethke cousin finally decided to grace us with her presence.

Shawn & Janeil's beautiful baby girl - Vesta Pearl

Hudson was very interested in "Baby Vesta" (but really is sounds like "baby besta" because he doesn't enunciate his v very well).

After a couple of minutes of watching me hold her, Hudson says "I want to wash my hands and hold baby vesta too!"

Craft Time

Been doing some more sewing lately...

For Kathryn's first birthday I bought her this cute top and then made the skirt to match. I used a pair of jean shorts, cut them off at the legs and then added the ruffles.

I also made a skirt like this (different fabric and minus the rick rack) for my sister Debbie - she can totally pull it off...I'm not sure I could pull of the ruffle skirt. Anyway, it's a great use of jeans that are too short or have holes in them, etc.

Latest pair of baby shoes - leftover fabric from Debbie's jeans....loving the rick rack these days!
Christi & Tyffany - I can't help thinking about our sewing evening every time I rip out a seam (which happens most every time I sew)..."you're not really sewing until you rip out a seam!"

Cutie Pies

The lighting on these photos isn't the greatest but I thought they were cute pictures of the kids anyway...
A full on smile from Hudson - not the cheesy photo smile we get most of the time these days

This is Livia's look these days - smiling with her tongue out. I think she must of recently discovered her tongue or something because it's poking out of her mouth most of the time right now.

Fun with a Friend

Sophia came last week and Hudson & Livia enjoyed having someone else to play with. I enjoyed listening to their 3 year old conversations. Oh the simplicity of a 3 year old's life!

Picnic time!

Mmm...peanut butter & jam

Livia enjoying her picnic in the high chair outside.
