My boss told me today that due to city budget problems my position has been terminated. She said the city manager told her that she needed to get rid of all of her "temporary" employees (which is what I am since I only work part time) pretty much immediately. So, as a result, at the end of April I will no longer be working in the Municipal Court. I am disappointed because I had planned to work until baby comes in August, but I was not totally surprised.
I am happy to say that God has given me a sense of peace about the whole situation. He will either provide something else for me to do or He will make me content to be at home all week. Pray for me and the family as we head in a different direction of some sort beginning in May.

Hudson's Birthday
Saturday the 21st was Hudson's 2nd birthday. We went to the park to play and then to Dairy Queen for a little ice cream. We're having the big family celebration this coming Saturday. I am totally excited about it because all of my sisters are coming and this will be the first time since my sister Christie's wedding in August of 2007 that we've all been together! Everybody loves Hudson... ;)

A Baby Shower Cake
Thursday, March 12, 2009
And the Baby is....
A girl...probably. The doctor said he was 85% sure but that we weren't supposed to go and paint everything pink just yet. He said he would probably do another ultasound in another 10 weeks or so and then we should know for sure. For now I'm going to proceed on the thought that this is a daughter that God is giving us. More importantly, everything looks healthy and normal and we're on track for a mid August delivery. Now we just need to decide on a name!

Thomas the Train
A week ago Friday Thomas the Train was in town at the Capitol Theater. As many of you know, Hudson LOVES everything Thomas. So, Christian and I decided it would be fun to take Hudson and his grandparents to the show. Hudson was locked in on the action the entire time....he thought the whole thing was great!
