Family Vacation

Our family vacation this year started off with a trip to Cannon Beach to see a friend of mine from high school get married. We then spent a night at my grandparents house in Oregon City. We joined them for church Sunday morning and then went for a picnic and train ride at this neat place they knew about not too far away. Sunday night we spent with my sister Christie & her husband Dustin in Salem. Monday morning we headed north with a stop over in Portland to see our dear friends the Jensens who recently moved there from Yakima. The remainder of the week we spent at a super sweet condo in Birch Bay (just shy of the WA/BC border). We had an awesome view of the ocean and enjoyed relaxing together as a family.
My grandparents took us to this miniature train place outside of Portland - Hudson LOVED it!

Riding the train!

Hudson reading Busytown with Aunt Christie - one of her favorites from when she was little.

Christian was oh, so excited when Dustin said he could probably figure out a way to put in an axillary so that he could plug his Ipod into our car stereo. And...success - no more FM transmitter for us.

Look - we're in the fish tank!

Checking out some star fish and sea anemones at the Marine Life Center in Bellingham

We took a day trip into Canada to visit Vancouver.
Here we are at the aquarium - checking out the jellyfish - God's creativity amazes me!

While in Vancouver, BC we stopped at Death By Chocolate for some dessert - it was a favorite place of mine to visit while I was going to school in B.C.

Livia wasn't quite sure about all the wind at the beach.

We were joined in Birch Bay by our dear friends the Evans (my roommate from college and her husband and 1 year old son). Here Hudson is showing Ryan how to fill his bucket at the beach.

We found a super cool park in Lynden and took the kids there to play for a while one day while the sun was actually out.

Livia loves swinging!

Livia and Ryan - cute rolly polly babies that wouldn't sit still!

Hey, great pictures!! I was so great to see you and your growing kids! Thanks so much for taking the time to see us, it meant a lot to us! Hopefully the kidos and I will get up to the Yakster in the next few months for a quick overnight trip to see everyone. :-)
